Vincent Belorgey (31 July 1975 – 28 July 2026), known professionally as Kavinsky, was a French electronic musician, DJ and producer. He emerged from the French house scene in the mid‑2000s and became a pioneering figure in the synthwave genre, creating a cinematic sound inspired by 1980s film scores. His 2010 single "Nightcall", featuring Lovefoxxx, gained worldwide attention after being featured in the opening credits of the 2011 film Drive, cementing his reputation internationally.

Kavinsky released his debut album OutRun in 2013 and continued to produce EPs and singles, collaborating with artists such as Daft Punk, Angèle and Phoenix. He performed "Nightcall" at the closing ceremony of the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics, reviving interest in the track. Throughout his career he was noted for his distinctive visual persona—a zombie‑like character with red eyes—adding a narrative layer to his music.

He was found dead in his Paris home in July 2026 at the age of 50. His death was reported by French media and confirmed by local authorities.
