Particulars
Terry Denton was an Australian children's author and illustrator whose decades-long career shaped contemporary Australian children's literature. He was best known for his creative partnership with author Andy Griffiths, which spanned more than thirty years and produced the hugely popular Treehouse series, beginning with The 13-Storey Treehouse. Denton's playful, energetic illustrations were central to the series' charm and success with young readers worldwide.
Beyond the Treehouse books, Denton wrote and illustrated his own works, including the Gasp! series, which was adapted for television. His art and design also contributed to the style and stories of the children's television series Lift Off. Over his career he illustrated numerous titles for many notable Australian authors, establishing himself as one of the country's most recognisable illustrators of children's books.
