Tássio Maia dos Santos, known simply as Tássio, was a Brazilian professional footballer born on October 8, 1984, in Rio de Janeiro. He began his professional career in 2006 with Caldense and went on to play for clubs in Brazil, Portugal, Cyprus, South Korea, Greece, Bulgaria, China, the United Arab Emirates, and Costa Rica.

During his career, Tássio played for notable Brazilian teams including Figueirense, Boa Esporte, Bragantino, Botafogo, Bangu, Madureira, and Ferroviário. He had a particularly successful stint in the United Arab Emirates, scoring 26 goals in 22 matches for Hatta Club. In 2015, he joined Botafogo, though he did not appear for the main team. He retired from professional football in 2019 after 27 team transfers throughout his career.

Tássio died on July 29, 2026, at age 41, when a wall collapsed on him during strong winds exceeding 100 km/h in Santa Teresa, Rio de Janeiro. He was working with a friend to organize an event at a party house when the accident occurred.
