Sydney Towle built a substantial following on TikTok as an internet personality, amassing over 1.1 million followers before her death at age 26. A Dartmouth College graduate, she used her platform to share her personal journey after being diagnosed with cholangiocarcinoma, a rare bile duct cancer, in 2023.

Throughout her three-year battle with the disease, Towle documented her experience with multiple surgeries, chemotherapy, and clinical trials, inspiring followers with her openness and resilience. She also pursued her longtime dream of becoming a model, walking the runway for Post Swim and The Chemo Club show during Miami Swim Week in June 2026.

Towle entered hospice care in early August 2026, and her death was announced on her social media accounts on August 6, 2026. Her brother Austin and numerous fans shared tributes celebrating her as an inspiration and remembering her positive spirit during her public health journey.
