Roger Cook (born 1943) was a British journalist who built a reputation for hard‑hitting investigative reporting. After beginning his career with the BBC, he moved to ITV where he became a familiar face on current‑affairs programmes. In 1985 he launched The Cook Report, a flagship investigative series that ran for more than a decade. The programme exposed corruption, fraud and abuse of power, earning Cook numerous awards and making him one of the most recognised figures in British television journalism. Beyond The Cook Report, he continued to work on documentary projects and contributed to public‑service broadcasting, influencing a generation of journalists with his tenacious style and commitment to uncovering the truth.
