Raffaele Annecchino was a senior media executive who spent more than 25 years at Paramount/ViacomCBS, rising from an early sales role in Madrid to become President and CEO of Paramount International. In that role he oversaw the company's international operations across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Latin America and Asia, playing a central part in the global expansion of the studio's television and streaming businesses.
Earlier in his career he served as CEO of MTV Spain, where he helped launch the Spanish adaptation of the reality franchise Gandía Shore, which became the channel's most-watched program at the time. His leadership spanned the transformation of the company through the ViacomCBS merger and the rebranding to Paramount.
Annecchino died of acute meningitis at the age of 55. He was widely regarded within the entertainment industry as a key architect of Paramount's international strategy.
