Paz Ramírez was a Chilean filmmaker and director who built a career in the audiovisual industry. She served as executive director of Alga Estudio, a production company based in Valdivia, where she was a central figure in the local filmmaking community. Her work was known for drawing on references to her home country of Chile.

As a production assistant, Ramírez contributed to notable films including No, Los 33, and Ferns. She also developed her own projects, directing short films such as Proyecto de verano and Helechos, as well as the feature film Partir to live. Her body of work reflected a commitment to Chilean storytelling and independent cinema.

Ramírez was the sister of actresses María José and Ángela Prieto. She died at the age of 39 in Providencia, Chile, after being struck by a vehicle while attempting to recover her dog that had escaped during a walk. Her death prompted tributes from colleagues and the broader audiovisual community.
