Nilton Nogueira was a Bahian radio sports commentator, born in Salvador on 16 August 1934 and known throughout his career as Nogueirinha. He began in radio in 1957 and made his first football narration two years later on Rádio Cultura da Bahia, going on to become one of the best-known voices of sports broadcasting in the state. He worked at Rádio Sociedade da Bahia until 2016, and was famous for his catchphrase about the Bahia derby. He died on 21 September 2026 at the age of 92 from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease; his death was mourned by the Bahian radio union and the Bahia Football Federation.
