Nicholas Alahverdian, born on July 11, 1987, was an American sex offender who became a fugitive after faking his death in 2020 to evade justice. He was also known by aliases such as Arthur Knight and Nicholas Brown. Alahverdian had a history of legal troubles, including convictions for sexual offenses, and was wanted in multiple states. After allegedly dying from non-Hodgkin lymphoma in February 2020, reports later questioned the authenticity of his death due to inconsistencies and his known fraudulence.

In October 2021, he was identified in a Glasgow hospital while being treated for COVID-19. He was arrested on charges related to an alleged rape in Utah in 2008 and other crimes. Despite claiming mistaken identity and using aliases, forensic evidence including fingerprints and tattoos confirmed his identity. After a prolonged legal battle, he was extradited to the U.S. in January 2024.

Upon return to the United States, Alahverdian admitted to faking his death and was subsequently tried and convicted in two separate rape cases in Utah in 2025. He was sentenced to two consecutive terms of five years to life in prison. Alahverdian died in custody in June 2026, shortly after his convictions. His life was marked by deception, criminal behavior, and a series of aliases used to evade law enforcement.
