Nelson Antônio Mathídios dos Santos was a Brazilian businessman and politician who served as mayor of Guaratinguetá, in the state of São Paulo, from 1993 to 1996. Before entering politics, he worked in commerce and business representation in the city. He presided over the Sindicato do Comércio Varejista de Guaratinguetá (retail commerce union) and played a key role in the efforts to bring a Senac (Serviço Nacional de Aprendizagem Comercial) unit to the municipality, which was later named in his honor. Mathídios died on 30 September 2026 at the age of 85, and the city government declared three days of official mourning.
