Nadia Farès was born on 20 December 1968 in Marrakesh, Morocco, to a Moroccan father and an Armenian mother. She moved to Nice as a child and later to Paris, where she began working odd jobs while pursuing acting.
Farès debuted in film with My Wife's Girlfriends (1992) and gained recognition on French television series such as Navarro. She rose to international prominence with her performance as Agent Jade Kinler in the 2000 thriller The Crimson Rivers, and later appeared in films including War (2007) and Storm Warning (2007). She also pursued a music career, releasing several singles and an album.
She married producer Steve Chasman in 2002, with whom she had two daughters before separating in 2022. Farès faced multiple health challenges, undergoing brain surgery in 2007 and several heart operations. On 11 April 2026 she was found unconscious in a Paris gym swimming pool and later died on 17 April 2026 at age 57 after a cardiac arrest.
