Michael Patrick was born in 1970 in Ireland and pursued a career in acting after training at a local drama school. He broke into international recognition with a supporting role in the acclaimed fantasy series Game of Thrones, appearing in several episodes that showcased his versatility and on‑screen presence. Patrick also built a diverse filmography with credits in The Keeper, The Spectacular, Unhinged, This Town, and other projects across film and television.

In February 2023, Patrick was diagnosed with motor neurone disease, a progressive neurological condition. Despite the diagnosis, he continued to work and became an outspoken advocate for disability awareness, sharing his experience publicly and encouraging support for research. His wife, Naomi Sheehan, and close friends praised his bravery and humor throughout his illness.

Patrick passed away peacefully on April 7, 2026, at the Northern Ireland Hospice, surrounded by family and friends. He was 35 years old. His death was confirmed by his writing partner Oisín Kearney and his wife, who announced the loss on social media, highlighting his lasting impact on colleagues and fans alike.
