Particulars
In 1920 Mary Willumsen was arrested after Copenhagen police investigated the city's kiosks for erotic photographs.
Police seized more than 1,000 of her postcards from the Scala Kiosk in one month, a total of 15,000 as evidence, and stopped another 10,000 bound for Germany; the investigation was known as the Aga Case. Courts later determined the postcards were legal, returned most of them, and dropped the charges.
