Marcelo Caldas Ferrairo was a businessman and cattle rancher from the region of Presidente Prudente, in the interior of São Paulo state, Brazil, known for his decades of local public service. He served as a vereador (city councilor) in the municipality of Martinópolis for two consecutive terms, from 1993 to 1996 and from 1997 to 2000. During that period he also held the presidency of the municipal legislature in the 1995-1996 and 1999-2000 biennia. In recognition of his community work and political career, the Martinópolis city government issued a note of condolence after his death, describing his professional trajectory and public life as part of the municipality's history.
