Particulars

José Luiz Monteiro began his career in radio in 1960 in Cornélio Procópio, Paraná, where he learned to operate the sound console while working as a packer in a shop in the same building as a radio station. He became a broadcaster in 1961 and was hired the following year by Rádio Cruzeiro do Sul as a police reporter for the program 'Primeira Página'.

After working at stations in several cities, he moved to Jaú in 1995 to take over the journalism department of Rádio Piratininga, a position he held until his death. He became a well-known figure in regional police journalism, famous for his opening catchphrase 'Bom dia para quem é de bom dia, saravá para quem é de saravá.'

He died on October 2, 2026, at the age of 82, leaving his wife Edna and four daughters.
