José Erivaldo Xavier Travassos, known as Cônsul do Povo, was a Brazilian businessman and politician of Pernambuco origin who lived in Fortaleza for more than 20 years. He was elected a city councilor of Fortaleza in 2020 and was running as a candidate for state deputy in the 2026 elections for the Mobiliza party at the time of his death. A businessman in the transport and logistics sector and a law graduate, he also carried out social work aimed at religious communities and public security professionals. He died on 30 September 2026 after suffering a heart attack, leaving four children and three granddaughters.
