José Arturo Aliaga López was a Spanish politician from the Aragonese Party (PAR). Born in Jaulín, Zaragoza, he was an industrial engineer by profession and a professor at the School of Engineering of Huesca before entering the administration of the autonomous community of Aragon in 1987.
He held various positions in the regional government's industry department, becoming regional minister of Industry, Commerce and Development in 2002, and later minister of Industry and Innovation. He served as secretary-general of the PAR from 2011 and was elected party president in June 2015.
Following the May 2019 regional elections, he was appointed vice president of the Government of Aragon and regional minister of Industry, Competitiveness and Business Development. He left the party presidency in February 2023 after a motion of no confidence and announced his retirement from politics in June 2023.
He died on 2 September 2026 in Zaragoza after a long illness.
