Jessie Orbin was a senior at Waynesburg University in Pennsylvania, where he competed as a varsity wrestler. He served as a team captain during the 2025‑26 season and led the squad in total wins, pins, technical falls, and major decisions, contributing to a 38‑match win streak that began early in his freshman year.

Orbin was known for his strong work ethic, loyalty, and character, earning respect from teammates, coaches, and the broader university community. He had recently purchased a motorcycle, a source of pride and personal accomplishment, and often spoke about making his father proud and continuing his family’s love of motorcycles.

Tragically, on June 14, 2026, Orbin suffered a severe, non‑survivable brain injury after crashing his motorcycle on Linden Road in North Strabane Township. He was airlifted to a Pittsburgh hospital where he later died. His death prompted an outpouring of grief and support, including a GoFundMe campaign that raised over $36,000 for his family.

Orbin’s mother, Brianna, had passed away from cancer in 2017, and his loss was felt deeply by his family, friends, and the Waynesburg community, who remembered him for his dedication on the mat and his kindness off it.
