James Jene Fae Lew was an American martial artist, stuntman and actor of Chinese descent, born in Escalon, California. He made 80 on-screen film and television appearances and worked on 46 more productions as a stunt coordinator or stunt double, becoming a respected figure in Hollywood action filmmaking.

Lew began studying martial arts at age 14, training in Tang Soo Do, Choy Li Fut, Tae Kwon Do, Jeet Kune Do, Hapkido and other disciplines. In the 1970s he co-founded the Sil Lung Kung Fu demo team and won several martial arts championships. His early film work included a role in John Cassavetes' The Killing of a Chinese Bookie, and he went on to appear in films such as Big Trouble in Little China, Killpoint and Star Raiders.

He won a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Stunt Coordination for his work on the series Luke Cage. Lew was also the author of The Art of Stretching and Kicking. He was married to actress Pamela Gidley and later to Jordanna Alex Potter, and was the stepfather of actor Ryan Potter. He died in Los Angeles on August 23, 2026, at the age of 73.
