Gloria Carlin was a Canadian actress who built a career in film and television over several decades. She appeared in the 1987 drama 'The Hanoi Hilton,' about American POWs held in Vietnam's Hoa Lo prison, a film written and directed by her husband, screenwriter Lionel Chetwynd. She also starred in 'Goldenrod' (1975) and 'Two Solitudes' (1978), both projects written and directed by Chetwynd.

Carlin appeared in the biblical miniseries 'Joseph' and had a role on the long-running daytime soap opera 'General Hospital.' She also appeared in the 2001 television film 'Varian's War,' directed by Chetwynd. She met Chetwynd while both were students at Sir George Williams University in Montreal, and the couple married shortly after his graduation. They had two sons and resided in Beverly Hills, California.
