Born in Prata di Pordenone on 14 January 1938 to a German father and an Italian mother, Giorgia Moll began her career as a model and won the Miss Cinema beauty contest in 1955. The following year she entered the Italian film industry, quickly becoming active in comedies and adventure films.
She gained critical notice for her dramatic performance in Damiano Damiani’s Lipstick (1960) and appeared in sword‑and‑sandal epics alongside Steve Reeves. Moll is perhaps best remembered internationally for playing Phuong in Joseph L. Mankiewicz’s The Quiet American (1958) and Francesca Vanini in Jean‑Luc Godard’s Contempt (1963). She also appeared in popular television toothpaste sketches with Carlo Dapporto on RAI.
