Gary Waddell was an Australian actor who became a fixture of the country's film and television industry over several decades, often playing rough-edged, working-class characters in small but memorable roles. He first gained attention in Bert Deling's cult 1976 drug drama Pure Shit, a social realist film about heroin addiction in Melbourne's subculture.
