Francesco Pompilio was an Italian actor who worked across television, film, and advertising. He appeared in the third season of the popular Rai drama Il Paradiso delle Signore and in the Netflix series Ripley, an Italian-American co-production. On the big screen he took part in Saverio Costanzo's art-house film Finalmente l'alba and in Checco Zalone's comedy Buen Camino, in which he played Gianni, a pilgrim met along the Camino de Santiago. He died at the age of 49, with his agency remembering him as a generous soul who made the stage and screen a mirror of his humanity.
