Dolly Rebecca Parton was an American singer, songwriter, actress, philanthropist, and businesswoman who became one of the most celebrated figures in country music history. After early success writing songs for other artists, her debut album Hello, I'm Dolly arrived in 1967, launching a career spanning six decades and some 50 studio albums. She composed over 3,000 songs, including enduring classics such as "Jolene," "Coat of Many Colors," "I Will Always Love You," and "9 to 5."
