Particulars

Daniel Stewart was an Australian rules footballer who played for the Port Adelaide Football Club in the Australian Football League. Born in Victoria, he played junior football with Norwood in the Eastern Football League and the Eastern Ranges in the Talent League before relocating to Queensland to play for Labrador in the AFL Queensland competition and later North Adelaide in the SANFL. Stewart was drafted by Port Adelaide with the 35th selection of the 2009 rookie draft and was promoted to the senior list at the end of that season, making his AFL debut in Round 4 of the 2010 season. Over four seasons with the Power between 2010 and 2013 he played 36 games and kicked 31 goals, with a career-best return of four goals against Richmond in the final round of 2010. Delisted at the end of the 2013 season, Stewart died suddenly on 23 October 2026 at the age of 37, prompting the club to announce plans to honour him at its first home game of 2027.
