Dame Jools Topp was born in the late 1950s in New Zealand and, together with her sister Lynda, formed the Topp Twins, a comedy and musical duo that became a cultural touchstone across the country. Their blend of humor, folk music, and sharp social commentary earned them widespread acclaim and a devoted following.
The twins broke new ground with their performances, championing LGBTQ rights, gender equality, and rural community issues, and they became beloved figures on television, stage, and in film.
