Particulars

Cayetano de Julia was a Spanish bullfighter born in Córdoba on 28 August 1971 into a family deeply tied to tauromaquia, his father having been a novillero and his uncle the diestro Cayetano de Andújar. He wore his first suit of lights in September 1984 in Priego de Córdoba and debuted with picadores in Motril in 1988, enjoying notable seasons as a novillero in both Spanish and French bullrings before bidding farewell to the minor escalafón at Las Ventas in Madrid on 23 October 1994.

He took the alternativa on 23 May 1995 during the Córdoba fair, receiving the trastos from Rafi Camino in the presence of Chiquilín and fighting a bull from the Murteira Grave ranch. Despite good performances and public support in his home plaza, a lack of contracts in the higher escalafón led him to step away from the bullrings.

In later years he focused on a career as a hospitality businessman in Córdoba. He died on 28 August 2026, the day he turned 55, after collapsing while exercising in the Parque Cruz Conde in Córdoba.
