Caroline Langford was born in London on 1 February 1958 and immigrated to Israel at age 14. She began her career as a singer before turning to acting, and in 1980 was invited to appear in the first prank film by Yehuda Barkan and Yigal Shilon, "Hayeikh, Akhalta Ota." During filming she contributed prank ideas and became the film's leading lady alongside Barkan, launching her as a star of the popular Israeli prank-film genre.

She went on to appear in a string of box-office hits through the 1980s, including "Shiga'on Shel Aba" (1981), "Am Yisrael Hai" (1981), "Edut Me'ones" (1984), "Banot" (1985), and the further Barkan-Shilon prank films "Nifga'sh Basivuv" (1986) and "Nifga'sh Ba'hof" (1987). She also starred in Assi Dayan's film "Melekh L'yom Ehad" (1980), where she met Dayan, whom she later married and divorced; their son is actor Lior Dayan. In later decades Langford returned to Israeli television, appearing in the drama "Baketzav Ha'ketzav" (2002), the reality series "Mechubarim" (2013), "Ha'achayot Hamutzlachot Sheli" (2016-2019), and the series "Normali" (2020), created by her son and in which she played his mother. She lived in Los Angeles with her husband Gil Bankenstein and died of cancer on 21 August 2026 at age 68.
