Particulars

Bruno Kramm was a German musician best known as the keyboardist, programmer and co-founder of the electro-industrial duo Das Ich, which he formed with vocalist Stefan Ackermann in 1989. The band became one of the leading figures of the Neue Deutsche Todeskunst (New German Death Art) movement of the early 1990s, releasing albums such as Die Propheten, Staub and Egodram and touring widely across Europe, the Americas and beyond. Kramm also founded the Danse Macabre record label and studio, producing and mixing records for numerous dark wave, gothic and industrial acts, and released solo material under the name Coeur. He was additionally the founder of the Berlin goth club Generation Gothic. Outside music, Kramm was active in politics, serving as chairman of the Berlin chapter of the Pirate Party Germany and as its federal commissioner on copyright issues before rejoining Alliance 90/The Greens. He died in September 2026 shortly after performing with Das Ich at a concert in Granada, Spain.
