Particulars

Bo Lueders, born Bohan Daniel Lueders in November 1987, co‑founded the Chicago‑based hardcore metal band Harm’s Way in 2006 as a side project of the punk group Few and the Proud. The project quickly grew into a full‑time band that blended aggressive hardcore, metal, and industrial influences, releasing multiple studio albums and EPs.

As the band's guitarist, Lueders contributed to landmark releases such as Isolation (2011), Rust (2015), Posthuman (2018) and Common Suffering (2023). He was celebrated for his magnetic stage presence, unwavering empathy toward friends and fans, and his role in shaping the band’s intense sound.

In 2022 Lueders expanded his creative output by launching the HardLore podcast with fellow musician Colin Young, offering listeners an inside look at life on the road within the hardcore, punk, and metal scenes. The show continued to engage fans until his untimely death.

Lueders died at age 38, with the band announcing his passing on social media on April 3, 2026. No cause of death was disclosed, and the band urged supporters to seek mental‑health resources. A GoFundMe campaign was organized to assist his mother and girlfriend with memorial expenses.
