Benedicto Sergio Lencioni was a Brazilian politician, professor, lawyer, and historian from the state of São Paulo. He served as mayor of Jacareí for two non-consecutive terms, first from 1977 to 1982 and again from 1997 to 2000. Before becoming mayor, he was elected to the city council in 1959 and reelected in 1968, building a long career in local public service.
Beyond politics, Lencioni worked as a teacher and lawyer and devoted much of his life to studying and preserving the history of Jacareí. He wrote books and articles on the municipality's past and was a member of the Academia Jacarehyense de Letras from 2005 onward.
He died on 26 August 2026 at the age of 90, while hospitalized in São José dos Campos after suffering a stroke. The city of Jacareí declared three days of official mourning in his honor.
