Antoinette Bower was born on September 30, 1932, in Baden-Baden, Germany, to a German mother and an English father. She lived in various countries during her youth, including England, Austria, and Monaco, before moving to Canada in 1953. Bower began her career in radio as a disc jockey in Ontario before transitioning to acting. She made her television debut in Canada in 1958 and soon moved to the United States, where she built a prolific career in television and film.

Bower appeared in numerous iconic TV series, including Star Trek, The Twilight Zone, Hogan's Heroes, Mannix, Mission: Impossible, and Murder, She Wrote. Her film roles included appearances in Prom Night (1980), Die Sister, Die! (1972), and Club Paradise (1986). In the 1990s, she returned to Canada to star in the television series Neon Rider. Bower was married to American Pop artist James Francis Gill, whom she met in Los Angeles in 1962.
