Anthony Guidera was born on October 18, 1964. He began his acting career with a small part as a bodyguard named Anthony in the 1990 film The Godfather Part III, which gave him his first screen credit.

Over the next decade he appeared in a variety of Hollywood productions, including Species (1995), The Rock (1996), The Postman (1997) and Armageddon (1998). He also guest‑starred on television series such as Renegade, Baywatch, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and Angel. In 1996 he earned an MTV Movie Award for Best Kiss alongside co‑star Natasha Henstridge for their scene in Species.

Guidera collapsed at his Southern California home in May 2026 and spent several weeks on life support before being taken off and passing away on June 6, 2026, at the age of 65. He is survived by his wife Valarie and their son.
